TODO24 Placeable Appearances [fixed for 2.60] Empty TODO24 Placeable Appearances [fixed for 2.60]

These don't seem to have any resources. I get a resource missing message if I try to set any of these appearances. Is that normal, or did possibly I miss importing a file into my module? I didn't import certain parts of the HAK like the scripts, c.r.a.p, and blueprint items.

I think those were just included in the placeables.2da as placeholder entries for placeable appearances, kind of as a "to do list" for version 2.4 that has yet to be finished.

If you were to extract placeables.2da from the CEP top hak, open it with Notepad (or other basic text editor), you could safely delete the lines for those placeables. If they're not all at the end of the file/list, replace them with copies of the blank/padding lines (with all the "****" entries). Save, then use NWN/utils/nwhak.exe to open cep2_custom.hak. Drag/drop your altered .2da file into it and save.

In the toolset with your module open, go to edit > module properties > custom content. Use the dropdown lists to add cep2_custom.hak to the list and move it to the top. Save and restart the toolset.

The "TODO24" entries with no models should now be gone.

The cep2_custom.hak is an empty hak for players. PW builders can put things like 2da files (that players don't need), scripts, blueprints, etc. into it on the server side, and players can log into such a server without having to download that server's version of the hak to log in.

Thanks for the reply, I just wondered if they were supposed to be blank. No need for me to delete them in a custom top hak.

Will they be deleted or completed in 2.5?

That would be up to the CEP team. I don't know their plans for those entries.

Is there a list somewhere of who is on the current CEP team? Also, do they communicate much here with those of us who build and run modules using CEP?

I have removed the empty "to do" entries for the 2.60 update.
