Congratulations to TAD & team on a disciplined approach to CEP 2.6, and the detailed change log, which has made custom 2da merging a breeze.

Clearly, parts_*.2da is always going to be a problem, as there are no reserved lines, but I don't see a better solution. I'll probably keep my old custom files on top and tweak them.

One suggestion for the future - loadscreens.2da - could we reserve a range for user content (maybe 500-999) to avoid changes at area level?

As a builder, I find it helpful if I know what needs to be merged/changed in my own haks. Figured others might benefit as well.

I haven't done reserved ranges in the parts* 2da files just because of the way armor parts are usually put out by the community...scattered numbering combined with a large number of models for each part.  If you have some specific ones you are using or will be using in the future that aren't already filled in the CEP, let me know and I'll try to block out space so you don't have to juggle everything unless the community suddenly get's more prolific (at least for me, armor parts are a pain in the posterior to make).

Consider it done.

Thanks!

I suspect that reserving 2da lines for parts might prove tricky, though. For information, here's my 2.4 compatible list. As you'll see, there's a lot of it, let alone other builders' requirements! I've included heads and helms for completeness, though not strictly a 2da issue. Custom # is the part number I'm using, Original # is the number it had in the source work.

I have blocked off lines 500-999 in loadscreens.2da for non-CEP use.
